Now, Then and Again in Idaho

Idaho: Now, Then and Again

Share your favorite Idaho stories and photos

Summer vacation ideas are quickly filling up your Pinterest boards and news feeds, and while this summer may be a little different than years before, there’s no question which destination will be at the top of your list when it’s time to travel. You could try somewhere new, but your favorite Idaho spot has a special place in your heart. Maybe it’s an idyllic Idaho campsite where your grandfather proposed to your grandmother and your family has returned every year since she said “yes.” Or perhaps it’s an Idaho mountain lake where you and your cousins, and then your son learned how to swim.
While time never stops moving and life changes all around us, these cherished locations remain the same—precious, timeless and ready to welcome you back year after year.

Visit Idaho Invites You to Take a Road Trip Down Memory Lane

Start digging through your photos with our newest campaign: Idaho: Now, Then and Again. This campaign will feature “then and now” photos of families and friends who have made it a tradition to visit a special spot in Idaho throughout the years. Along with these photos we invite you to become the storyteller around the campfire and provide a brief description of what that place means to you—why you’ll visit now, why family and friends visited back then, and why you’ll be back again.

If you have a beloved Idaho destination that has become a part of your vacation history, we invite you to share your vacation photos and stories with us using the submission form below (and we love a good vintage pic!). Chosen submissions will be featured in the 2021 Official Idaho Travel Guide as well as Visit Idaho’s social media pages. We hope you enjoy a good laugh and few special moments sharing your #timelessIdaho.

May the adventure continue.
